We are currently seeking a 3rd veterinarian preferably with experience in shelter medicine to perform medical/surgical care of dogs in our facility located in Palm Beach County.
Duties and Responsibilities Veterinarian with minimum 3-5 years experience.
Ability to thoroughly document and perform 20-30 physical exams per day or do 20 spay/neuters per day.
Perform pre-and post-operative examinations on all patients.
Assist in the evaluation and establishment of disease control and medical protocols.
Provide oversight supervision of veterinary technicians working with you.
Adhere to state and federal regulations as well as organizational protocol regarding animal care, treatment, advocacy, and the mission of the organization.
Must be a collaborator with ability to collaborate with other Veterinarians.
Work in conjunction as a team with two other full-time Veterinarians that we all love to ensure smooth operation of the clinic.
Spay/neuter surgeries as required.
Saturday coverage is needed.
Schedule can be flexible on other days.
Requirements and Qualifications 3- 5 or more years of experience in Veterinary Medicine.
Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Florida.
USDA Category I certification.
Possess good surgical skills and able to sustain a heavy surgical schedule.
Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to be on call for occasional emergencies such as C-Sections that must be performed as soon as possible.
Committed to the mission of the organization and the goal of saving dogs.
Position Classification Veterinarian position is a full time, exempt position, supervised by the CEO.
