The Sterile Processing Technician provides the entire facility decontamination and sterilization services. He/she p repares and maintains all instruments utilized by the Operating Room, The Emergency Department, and Radiology Department and all nursing care units throughout the facility. This is accomplished w hile maintaining the highest possible standards in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the f acility, and AORN. Inherent in this position is producing work of the caliber that meets the standards of compliance of accreditation and regulatory bodies regarding supply processing and sterilization.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • One (1) or more years experience as a sterile Processing Tech preferred.

  • Successful completion of a registered Central Sterile Processing course or its equivalent preferred.

  • Self directed and independent achiever

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
